Take A Kid Fishing 2016
This year we supported the TAKF organization on the Nancy Lee out of Swansboro, at Beaufort Town Dock as well as Bogue Pier. Several hundred youngsters were
delivered in tour buses to the pier and were met by a good
sized group of volunteers that included thirteen club members. Catches included pin fish, blue fish, croakers, oyster toads, blow fish, skates and the ever popular sting rays.
Sharks, the most popular and most talked about fish were very scarce.
For many, this was their first time fishing and were not so sure about fish for dinner, but there were smiles all around the pier.
